Copy the job description and separate hard requirements (tools, certifications, years) from soft framing. The hard list is what you tailor against.

Match your experience line by line
For each requirement, find the bullet in your resume that proves it. Anything with no match is either a genuine gap or a bullet you have worded badly.

Rewrite the summary and skills first
Mirror the posting's job title and the exact tool names you have genuinely used. This is the highest-leverage 60 seconds of the whole process.
